Nineteen Years of Reflection

When a preacher takes over a new work there is excitement and concerns. Some nineteen years back I took the work here. Because of the men who occupied the pulpit before me it was a joy coming here. There were no spiritual “knots” to untie or scriptural errors to be concerned about. I stepped into a pulpit of a congregation who loved the truth. I have had time to grow spiritually and dig deeper into a study of God’s Word. I have likewise seen the growth of other Christians as they invested more and more time in the study of God’s Word.

When we came here none of our children were married. Our oldest son was away in the Navy and all the rest were with us. We have seen our family grow from 5 children to in-laws and 14 grandchildren. Our hearts have been filled with love for all of them and wishes for the future of their lives as we hope they grow in their faith.

My thanks to all of you for accepting, helping and blessing all of us. I hope the Lord will allow all of us to grow together in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
